Favorite Thing about Life in Northern Michigan - Spending time with his wife, Melody and their two children - boating, water skiing, hiking, snow skiing, snowmobiling, mountain and road biking, hunting and flying light aircraft over beautiful Northern Michigan.

Experience. Joined the family custom home building business in Colorado after spending 10 years as a corporate economist following graduation from college. Learned all aspects of managing the company and our projects, gaining expert experience with a large variety of styles and complexities and eventually assuming ownership of the company.
Portfolio of projects includes a wide range of styles, locations and complexities, from log homes perched high in the Colorado Rockies, to ultra-contemporary masterpieces on the beach in Malibu and almost every style in between.

Most Proud Of. "All of the beautiful and amazing homes I've had the privilege to work on. One of my favorite projects involved an intricate American black walnut staircase designed in the arts and crafts style, reminiscent of the work of Greene & Greene."
Favorite Thing about Northern Michigan. The outdoors - skiing & rollerblading. And pancakes!

Education & Experience. Born and raised in Wolverine, Michigan (class valedictorian), attended Michigan Technological University. Construction experience of eighteen years including ten years' ownership.

Objective. To provide top quality and beautiful paint and stain finishes that will last for years and to establish a relationship with clients for future interior and exterior maintenance.
Education & Experience. Studied at Oakland Community College. Ten years of log home and custom finish painting.
Favorite Thing about Life in Northern Michigan. Painting custom homes, golfing and fishing. "My most special times are spent with my six year old daughter."

Background. Continuing in the familiy tradition, picked up his first paintbrush at the age of sixteen. Gained extensive experience in commercial and industrial painting before identifying a preference for the personal attention necessary in custom home painting.
Favorite Thing about Life in Northern Michigan. Vacationing in Northern Michigan as a young child led to a dream of living and working in this special place. Enjoys spending time with his wife and children experiencing the best that Northern Michigan has to offer: hunting, ice fishing, fly fishing, fly-tying and the infamous morel mushroom hunt.
Objective. To execute well-managed projects - delivered on time and on budget - to clients who are thrilled with the outcome.
Education & Experience. Michigan State University, B.S. in Construction Management. Worked in the family construction business from elementary school through college. Managing projects since 1982 and built five personal homes (after hours!) between 1980 - 2007.
Most Proud Of. My family. Married since 1976 with three great children. (ask me: I love to brag!)
"As for building projects I've managed, I'm proud of them all, but if I had to pick two it would be the 'Earl Young Retro Refit' and the 'East Bay Makeover.' Both were extremely challenging and each was completed in 9 1/2 months from start to finish. The East Bay project was for an NHL hockey player which made the process that much more interesting since I also love to play & watch the game."
Favorite Things. Traveling and camping with my wife, day trips around beautiful Northern Michigan, spending time with our children and playing in 50+ hockey tournaments. I value my Christian faith, service and deep friendships. I also enjoy a great Upper Peninsula pasty.
